A simple move to a new property in Sittingbourne

Homebuyer Diana Stedman is full of praise for Taylor Wimpey after her move to the leading housebuilder’s Great Easthall development of apartments and houses for sale in Sittingbourne.
After a rollercoaster ride of life-changing events, Diana Stedman is looking forward to settling into her brand new home at Taylor Wimpey’s Great Easthall development of property for sale in Sittingbourne, Kent.
The 63-year-old retiree recently underwent treatment for breast cancer, and with the disease now in remission, she has purchased a new home at the development of new homes in Sittingbourne, just five minutes’ walk from her daughter, Lisa.
Having received the keys to her apartment in February, Diana has nothing but praise for the customer service she’s enjoyed throughout the process of moving to the development of property in Sittingbourne.
She explains: “The guys at Taylor Wimpey are great, they really are. They arrange a follow-up visit seven days after you move in, and after 21 days to check how you’re getting on and that you’re happy with everything about your new home.
“They want you to be happy, and to take care of any issues that arise straight away so you aren’t inconvenienced. They’re also really good with advice and tips. When I bought a new flat from a different builder in the past, I didn’t receive this caring service. Taylor Wimpey is doing its job really well.”
Diana moved to Great Easthall from Leicestershire, where her son, Daniel, still lives. Daughter Lisa, who lives just around the corner, is a foster carer for two children with cerebral palsy, while her other daughter, Kerry, lives in nearby Five Ashes, in East Sussex.
“I’m just five minutes from Lisa if she needs me,” adds Diana, “and the development is really handy for the station too. Kerry works in Bromley and it’s easy to get the train into Bromley, London or Canterbury.”
Diana, who has completed two Moonwalks to raise money for breast cancer causes, and is hoping to get fit enough to tackle a 10km run, also enjoys the opportunity to pull on her trainers and go out running straight from home, thanks to the lovely location of her new apartment.
And when it comes to relaxing back at home, Diana’s favourite feature of her second-floor apartment is the beautiful balcony off the living room and views of the attractive courtyard below from the kitchen window.
“I love the layout of the apartment, with its semi open-plan kitchen that is slightly partitioned off from the lounge,” she concludes. “But most of all, when I first came in, it felt immediately like home.”
Two-bedroom apartments at Great Easthall are currently available from just £109,500, and enjoy a spacious layout including a Juliet balcony to the living room, a semi-open plan kitchen, en-suite master bedroom with Juliet balcony, plus a second bedroom and a main bathroom.
A choice of three-bedroom houses is also available, starting from only £144,500.
Great Easthall enjoys an excellent position in the popular market town of Sittingbourne, home to a good selection of major high street stores, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes.
Nearby Faversham, Maidstone and the Medway towns of Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester widen the choice of shopping, sporting and leisure attractions.
The area is home to a good choice of schools, while commuters will appreciate easy access to the A2, the M2 and M20 and regular rail services from Sittingbourne station – just a short walk away – to both London Victoria and Gatwick airport.
Great Easthall Sales Centre is located off Easthall Lane, Sittingbourne, and open Thursday to Monday from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
