The 20-22nd May will see the atrium of the Westfield London shopping mall host a consumer event for the world’s leading long-haul low-fare airline, AirAsia.

As well as interactive activities, the opportunity to see show-cars and entertainment, the event will offer consumers the chance to win AirAsia flight tickets, Moto GP tickets, Renault Clio UK Series tickets, Team Lotus merchandise, a cricket bat signed by the Essex Cricket team, two tickets to the Friends Life Twenty20 on Wednesday 8th June v’s Sussex Sharks, two Junior Essex Cricket Memberships and EQ8 energy drink prizes.

Team Lotus, Essex Cricket, Moto GP and Renault Clio UK Series will be showcasing alongside the airline at the first long-haul travel activity at Westfield London. Tourism Malaysia will also be exhibiting, presenting a truly Asian country of remarkable natural beauty that AirAsia also uses as the gateway to over 75 destinations in Asia and Australasia.  The Westfield London celebration of the AirAsia brand, which will be promoted via press and Facebook, gives shoppers the opportunity to learn more about AirAsia and its extensive route network directly to Kuala Lumpur from the UK and beyond into south-east Asia.

AirAsia launched in Kuala Lumpur in 2001 providing a network of routes between Bangkok and dozens of Asian destinations. AirAsia X was launched in 2007 as the airline’s long-haul sister brand,  AirAsia X has offered direct flights between London Stansted and Kuala Lumpur since 2009. The three day event at London’s Westfield is designed to promote the long-haul low-fare model and the latest deals and offers from AirAsia and AirAsia X to the travelling public. The leading low-cost carrier to Asia gives the travelling public the opportunity to explore the Far East and Australasia without the budget constraints usually associated with long-haul flights to exotic destinations.

Following the success of direct flights between London Stansted and Kuala Lumpur, AirAsia X began to offer flights between the Malaysian capital and Brisbane, Australia. Earlier this year, the airline also launched a non-stop route between Paris and Kuala Lumpur. AirAsia is the only low-cost airline to offer such a range of international flights.
