Restaurant group Black and Blue is delighted to announce the opening of its latest site, Picasso, in the heart of Chelsea (127 King's Road, SW3 4PW).

Following on from the success of other sites in the Group located at Borough, Gloucester Road, Notting Hill Gate, Wigmore Street and Mortimer Street, Picasso is the new Chelsea hot spot, offering an all-day restaurant and bar service, serving simple, unpretentious food with maximum flavour including the finest steaks and burgers.

Picasso’s menu consists of a wide range of steaks and burgers as well as a selection of seafood dishes and salads. All its burgers are handmade using 100 per cent British beef, served in toasted sourdough buns with fries and a selection of toppings including crispy bacon and guacamole. All meat and fish dishes are served with fries and the signature house salad is accompanied by a dressing acquired from the chef at the owners’ favourite alpine restaurant. There is a wide selection of steak cuts including côte de boeuf, fillet, rump, ribeye and T-bone. Picasso’s speciality is the ultra-light steak paillard, a great choice for ladies wanting a healthier lunch option. Desserts include favourites such as ‘warming apple and almond tart’ or a cheeseboard that can be enjoyed with a glass of 10-year old port.

Black and Blue goes to great lengths to ensure its food is of the highest quality. All its burgers come directly from the restaurant’s own butchers, Jeffries Too of Kingston with whom the teams work exclusively because of the outstanding quality of the meat. Jefferies’ steaks are sourced from award-winning UK specialist suppliers that leave the meat to hang in a dry aging room for a minimum of 28 days to add extra flavour and tenderness.

Breakfast is a focal point for Picasso with the restaurant offering morning diners a selection of classic favourites such as eggs Benedict and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. With its extensive selection of cocktails, Picasso is also the perfect spot to begin a night out being conveniently located within easy reach of Chelsea’s popular nightclubs. Choose from specially-created cocktails such as Romeo’s First (El jimador reposado tequila, Galliano and Passoa shaken with passion fruit puree, lime juice, and a dash of cranberry topped off with champagne) and classic favourites like Bellinis and Caipiroskas.

The restaurant’s decor is contemporary and stylish offering diners a relaxed, intimate space where they can feel at home. The signature Black and Blue leather banquette seating is complemented by a sky light allowing sun to pour into the restaurant. With a classic menu offering all day dining, Picasso is the new destination that will attract locals and visitors to Chelsea, time and time again.

Speaking about the opening of the newest Black and Blue instalment, General Manager Jo Saward said:  “Black and Blue is delighted to have opened on King’s Road. Picasso is a Chelsea stalwart and we are really looking forward to welcoming the locals and serving them our signature classic steaks and cocktails.”
