'Move it or lose it' in Rhos-on-Sea

Adlington House in Rhos-on-Sea welcomed the local community, including The Mayor and Mayoress of the Bay of Colwyn, to its ‘Move it or Lose it’ event which saw everyone enjoy a fun filled few hours of activities to help promote a healthy mind and body.
The day was packed with complimentary and educational programmes such as culinary demonstrations, art displays, computer workshops, as well as taster exercise and mobility classes. Attendees were also able to sample a free wholesome buffet, including fruit platters and smoothies and one lucky visitor even won a Nintendo DSi XL with a Brain Training game.
Claire Reede, Sales and Marketing Manager at Adlington, comments: “We were excited to get so many members of the local community together at this event and the fact The Mayor and Mayoress of the Bay of Colwyn turned up to show their support demonstrates what a vital message we’re trying to communicate.
“We know how important it is for all people, old and young, to keep themselves active and we’re hoping that some of the demonstrations that were held have encouraged people, including our residents, to either keep up with what they’re doing or start on the path to keeping the body and mind as lively as possible.”
