White Peaks Café unveils new ice cream parlour

Since winning the contract to cater for all dining venues at RBG Kew, Peyton & Byrne’s presence has gone from strength to strength, offering a dining experience for everyone whether looking for a sit-down meal in the Orangery, a family offering at the White Peaks Café or a decent cup of coffee in the new Victoria Gate Café.
The newly refurbished White Peaks Café was unveiled to the public on 28th May, and now features new “Grab and Go” picnic kits, where children can create their own packed lunches from a selection of delicious treats and healthy snacks such as ham or cheese sandwiches, vegetable sticks, Tiny Tims yogurt, custard and banana flavoured jelly, seasonal fruit pots and marshmallows. Children can pick different options for 95p each or 5 for £4.70 and the station is set at height level for children enabling them to make their selection easily. Children’s afternoon tea is also on offer, consisting of sandwiches and pastries specially created to include less sugar.
The White Peaks Café now features a brand new Peyton & Byrne Dairy Ice Cream Parlour which serves 22 flavours of freshly made ice cream which can be blended in the customer’s choice of combinations and topped with a multitude of sauces and sprinkles such as hot chocolate, hot caramel, mini meringue and honeycomb. Customers will be able to create their own flavour and supplement it with whichever topping they choose in order to build their perfect ice cream. The parlour décor will be colourful and quirky, featuring ice cream cone shaped lighting. There will also be a variety of sundaes, freshly made doughnuts and milkshakes on offer as well as homemade popcorn with caramel sauce or savoury popcorn with Montgomery cheddar.
Next in line is the Victoria Gate Café which is set to open its doors on 9th July for coffee fiends in need of their daily fix of the finest coffee blends, such as the House Blend (made up of 100% Arabica beans), El Salvador and Sumatra Mandheling. The existing coffee shop is currently being renovated and the new look will include a central counter and in-house coffee roaster, ensuring customers will get coffee literally “from bean to cup”. Customers will also benefit from an increased range of handmade cakes, pastries, sandwiches and savouries.
