Spice Market introduces Asian-inspired breakfast menu

29th June 2011 Print

Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s London restaurant, Spice Market, has launched two new South East Asian-Inspired breakfast dishes to compliment their already extensive morning menu.

Guests can now choose to start the day with either Cornish Crab & Egg Scramble, Sesame, Chillies and Lime, or Coconut Pancakes with Maple-Lavender Syrup & Pomelo. These dishes, along with many others, can be enjoyed alongside Spice Market’s buffet which includes yoghurts, seasonal fruit and freshly baked pastries.

The new dishes are made with the finest ingredients. The Cornish Crab & Egg Scramble has authentic Chinese Shaoxing wine and Nam Pla (Asian fish sauce) incorporated into the dish and is available for £12.50. The Coconut Pancakes, priced at £11, are made with coconut milk, fresh grapefruit juice and Pomelo – a citrus fruit native to South East Asia. The cuisine at Spice Market is Jean-Georges’ interpretation of the eclectic food experienced during his many trips across South East Asia. The breakfast menu now reflects the delectable Asian delights that feature on Spice Market’s Lunch and A La Carte menus.

The breakfast buffet is perfect for meetings and offers a wide choice. Other A La Carte dishes include an English Breakfast, French Toast with Sautéed Apple and Scottish Smoked Salmon with Toasted Brioche and Poached Eggs.

It is not only the food that will tempt visitors at Spice Market. Guests can enjoy a wide range of coffees, juices and smoothies for a perfect, healthy start to the day. For those with something to celebrate, Spice Market offers a Bucks Fizz or a Bloody Mary for guests to enjoy alongside their breakfast.

Located on the ground floor of the W Hotel, Leicester Square, Spice Market is an ideal alternative to the corporate boardroom environment for Breakfast. Spice Market can accommodate meetings and presentations with audio visual equipment and in the private room there is space to seat 60 guests, theatre style.

The new South East Asian-inspired breakfast dishes are available from the a la carte breakfast menu and demonstrate the authentic ingredients that are used in all of Spice Market’s cuisine. Start the morning with something a little different and visit Spice Market to sample their South East Asian-Inspired breakfast dishes. Breakfast is available Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 11:00 am and Saturday - Sunday 8:00 am – 11:30 am.
