Dominica enjoys increased ferry and air access

A new year-round ferry service will launch in October, making island hopping between Dominica, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe and Martinique easier than ever before.

Jeans Ferry Service will begin on October 20 and will be operated by L’ Express Des Iles, who currently runs a less frequent service between the islands.

BVI Airways has now launched flights to Dominica from St. Maarten. The carrier operates three evening flights a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, allowing for more convenient same day connections from Europe into Dominica. Introductory prices for a round trip start from as low as $99 each way (plus taxes and fees).

LIAT is commencing regularly scheduled night landing operations into Dominica this month. The development follows a $50 million upgrade and improvements to Dominica’s Melville Hall Airport, on the northeast coast of the island. Initially the flights will originate from Antigua and they are expected to extend to Barbados shortly afterwards.
