Top award for West Malling property development
The site manager of Taylor Wimpey’s Leybourne Chase development of new homes in West Malling, Kent, has secured a prestigious award for high standards in housebuilding.
Taylor Wimpey has cause for celebration after the site manager of its flagship Leybourne Chase development of homes for sale in West Malling, Kent, has earned a coveted prize in a prestigious UK building industry competition for the second year running.
Seeing off strong competition from more than 13,000 entries, Matt Colbran, site manager of the development of houses to buy in West Malling, has secured a 2011 Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National House-Building Council (NHBC), otherwise known as the ‘Oscars’ of the new homes industry.
The site manager of houses for sale in West Malling is one of 65 Taylor Wimpey site managers around the UK to receive the honour in recognition of their dedication to maintaining exceptional standards in housebuilding.
Presented following a stringent judging process involving a number of NHBC inspections throughout the year, the Quality Awards also provide homebuyers with the assurance that the winning development delivers top-quality homes and excellent customer care.
Matt, who also won a Quality Award for the same Taylor Wimpey development of Kent property in 2010, says: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won this award for the second successive year. Most site managers will go through their entire careers without winning one of these, so to get two in two years is a fantastic boost.

The only awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of site managers in new home construction, Pride in the Job has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades.
The regional events take place in the autumn, with the Supreme Awards gala final being held in January 2012, the NHBC’s 75th anniversary year.
