Holborough Lakes’ new village hall offers something for everyone

Berkeley is pleased to announce the opening of the new village hall at its’ Holborough Lakes development in Kent, ME6. With a great range of exercise and fitness classes, the hall is the new home of Holborough Lakes Youth Theatre and is available to hire for residents children’s parties, thereby providing something for everyone to come and try out!

Despite opening only a few weeks ago, there are already people enjoying the chance to exercise on their doorstep, for the excellent price of approximately £4 per class. Organised by fitness coach and instructor Nick Aish, exercise classes currently include Dynamic Fitness, Box Fit, Combat Training, LBT (leg’s, bum’s and tum’s) and Urban Funk. Future classes will also include Zumba and Body Blitz Combat.

Nick comments: “The new village hall that Berkeley has provided offers a great opportunity for the local community to enjoy affordable exercise classes and activities on their doorstep. It is also a brilliant way for people to get to know their neighbours, including everyone at Holborough Lakes and the surrounding community.”

The hall isn’t just being used for fitness classes; it is the new home of the Holborough Lakes Youth Theatre, who will be using the hall every Friday night to teach dance and drama to local children. It is also available for Holborough Lakes residents to hire through the Estate Manager Morris Dickson, for children’s parties and as a venue for other social and leisure activities, for example amateur dramatics groups.

The village hall is another addition to the great range of facilities already available at Holborough Lakes. These include the new village green, which will open in the next few weeks to provide an ideal place for families and the residents to enjoy picnics and communal activities. The main focal point will be a circular grassed open space and avenues of substantial mature trees which are up to 30 years old, with seating areas which will lead to a gazebo, marketing suite and natural play area. There will also be a trim trail opening in the Autumn to provide even more ways to keep fit and healthy.

Other facilities at Holborough Lakes include Nemes Dive & Watersports Academy which offers diving, open water swimming and kayaking, Holborough Lakes Day Nursery and a resident’s private gym. There are also children’s play areas and waterside paths to enjoy.
