A fantastic chance to experience one of Taylor Wimpey’s stunning new homes in Canterbury at the Millers Court development is now open to househunters.

Taylor Wimpey has unveiled a brand new view apartment at Millers Court, where would-be movers can get a taste of the lifestyles on offer at the superb development of properties in Canterbury.

By opening just one of the new apartments for sale in Canterbury up to the public, Taylor Wimpey is giving aspiring buyers seeking new homes in Kent a tantalising glimpse at the stylish design and spacious interior layout of this impressive two-bedroom ‘Rosemary Court’ property.

And for first-time buyers hoping to get on the property ladder at this superb development of homes and apartments in Canterbury there is also the chance to find out about FirstBuy, the new Government-backed scheme which makes homeownership a reality for more aspiring house purchasers.

Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Our brand new ‘Rosemary Court’ view apartment offers a great chance for would-be buyers to experience what life could be like in a home of their own at the Millers Court development of new homes for sale in Canterbury.

“With the fabulous FirstBuy scheme available on selected plots at the development, we’re expecting significant demand from home-hunters – so I would urge anyone interested in securing their place here to pay us a visit as soon as they can.”

The FirstBuy initiative lets qualifying first-time buyers with a household income below £60,000 secure selected plots for just 75% of the full purchase price, plus a deposit of only 5%.

Taylor Wimpey takes away the need for a big deposit by providing a joint loan of 20% with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which is then repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold.

The ‘Rosemary Court’ apartment at Plot 82, for example, is priced at only £139,600 under the scheme – that’s a mortgage of just £130,875 and a deposit of £8,725.

Two-bedroom apartments at Millers Court boast an open-plan living/dining area with contemporary fitted kitchen, plus two good-sized bedrooms and a bathroom off the entrance hallway, with access to a delightful shared garden area and communal parking spaces outside.

Canterbury is a modern and vibrant city, which has retained its picturesque town centre while moving into the 21st century, boasting more than 320 shops as well as a wealth of bars and restaurants, cinemas and theatres. Millers Court is within easy reach of an abundance of schools for all ages.

Commuters will appreciate that Canterbury is close to major road links and within easy reach of the City. The development lies just nine miles from the M2, about 16 miles from the M20 and under a mile from Canterbury East station, while Ashford International station is only 17 miles away, with journey times to London St Pancras just 38 minutes.

Canterbury is steeped in history with the city’s skyline dominated by the stunning cathedral, the oldest in England. The ancient ruins of St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church form Canterbury’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Much of the surrounding countryside is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beautiful north Kent coast is only a short drive away, with the artistic town of Whitstable – famed for its oysters – and the traditional seaside magic of Herne Bay both popular destinations for days out.

Three miles south in Bekesbourne is Howlett's Wild Animal Park, home to the late John Aspinall's collection of gorillas, chimpanzees, African elephants and tigers. Other parks in the area include Wildwood Trust, Druidstone Park and Wingham Wildlife Park, ideal for all the family.

The new view apartment is open daily from 10am to 5pm, at Millers Court, located in George Roche Road, off Nunnery Fields, Canterbury. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
