For one night only, fine-dining restaurant Awana is proud to be showcasing their delicious food at the much anticipated Malaysia Night. The free event will take place in Trafalgar Square between 3pm and 10pm on Friday 23 September. After last year’s great success Awana is making a comeback to Malaysia Night and visitors will not be disappointed.

Malaysia Night will transform Trafalgar Square in the form of an authentic Malaysian Pasar Malam (Night Markets). Awana will serve a range of delicious and authentic Malaysian dishes such as Laksa (Spicy Noodle Soup), Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) and Beef Rendang (Malay Spiced Coconut Beef), as well as a selection of Satay dishes.

At the unique event this year, visitors will be able to enjoy performances by dancers from the Terengganu region of Malaysia including Gerak Tari Silat Kura-kura (martial arts performance), Zapin and Joget Terengganu (traditional dance) and Gamelan (traditional musical performance), as well as a fashion show of traditional clothing. Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase beautiful Malaysian arts and crafts, as well as authentic Malaysian ingredients to cook at home, including sauces, pastes and noodles.

Famously known as London’s only fine dining Malaysian restaurant, Awana is renowned for combining traditional Malaysian cooking techniques with a contemporary flair and they are set to demonstrate this wholly on Malaysia Night.
