The Capital Restaurant introduces game tasting menu

To celebrate game season this year, Jérôme Ponchelle, head chef at The Capital Restaurant in Knightsbridge, has created a special, six course tasting menu featuring game based dishes. The menu will be available for lunch and dinner Monday – Sunday and is priced at £70 per person.

Dishes on the game menu include Game, pistachio and foie gras terrine, Cumberland sauce, toasted sourdough bread and Medallion of Fallow deer venison, red wine poached pear, honey glazed baby carrot and parsnips. Recommended wines include Puligny Montrachet from Vicent Girardin, a fresh crispy wine with medium creamy palate and Rioja Reserva by Roda, a juicy red full of forest fruits with a peppery aftertaste. All diners at the table must order the tasting menu to allow for timings.Jérôme creates his menus by combining classic choices with more creative dishes.
