Buca di Beppo: A touch of authentic Italy arrives in Elstree
Buca di Beppo, the much-loved Italian eatery owned by restaurant entrepreneur Robert Earl, is adding a fifth site in Elstree - opening on Monday 19th September. The US restaurant chain is a favourite with Hollywood superstars like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Charlie Sheen, and is sure to bring a touch of Italian glamour to the area.
The restaurant has launched in the UK exclusively in partnership with selected Village Hotels - alongside Elstree, Buca di Beppo have four other restaurants in Blackpool, Newcastle, Swindon and the Wirral.

The first Buca di Beppo opened its doors in 1993 in the basement of a Minneapolis apartment building and has since grown to 87 locations across America.
The fantastic dishes come in three portion sizes; Buca Mio, a generous single serving, Buca Small which feeds up to three people and Buca Large, feeding up five. Guests can choose from a mouth-watering menu featuring classic family-favorites from pizzas and baked pastas, through to cured meats and bruschetta.
Dishes enjoyed for generations in villages throughout Italy inspire the menu, giving Buca its authentic Italian fare and sense of style.
Enjoy antipasti dishes, ranging from £4.95 - £7.95, including Calamari Fritte, Mussels Bianchi, Mozzarella Caprese and fresh Zuppa di Giorno. Buca’s unrivalled range of pasta plates include Chicken Carbonara, Linguine Frutti di Mare, Ravioli with Bolognese, Shrimp Fra Diavolo and baked Rigatoni – with family sized portions from £18.95. Those preferring a more carnivorous bite to eat can choose from succulent Tuscan Steak, Chicken or Veal Parmigiana, Chianti Braised Short Ribs and Prosciutto, excellent value with dishes starting from £10.95. If you’ve still got room for something sweet, Buca’s menu also features a variety of traditional Italian desserts, starting from £4.45, such as Tiramisu, Baked Cheesecake and Espresso Chocolate Cake. An extensive wine list is availble, showcasing bottles from all regions of Italy.
The restaurant continues to innovate and create recipes beyond the traditional style by adding new menu items inspired by Northern and Southern Italian cuisine.
The large restaurant caters for 150 covers with an outside terrace area catering for 50 covers. There are three private dining areas; ‘The Godfather’ which seats 16, the ‘Sophia Loren’ which seats 12 and ‘Fat Joes’ which seats 10. The walls are adorned with graphic tributes to Italy’s yesteryear, sitting alongside pictures from legendary films and shows. The décor is a throwback to the classic American-Italian style with dark red leather banquette seating and statuettes around the dining room.
