Saturday 12th November at 12 noon – 3pm - Kent Wildlife Day

The Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Councillor Brian Luker and his wife, Joy, will officially open the new village green and trim trail at the Family Fun Day on Saturday 15th October. After the unveiling, there will be a range of activities for everyone to take part in including circus skills training, face painting and balloon making. Visitors will be able to enjoy a hog roast, Bucks Fizz and live music. There will also be a prize raffle to win a hot air balloon flight for a family.

Throughout the event, Nemes Dive and Watersports Academy will have kayaks for visitors to try out on the lake, whilst personal trainer, Nick Aish, who runs the fitness classes at the village hall, will be on hand to give out information. In addition, Stables Day Nursery will also be holding an open day for prospective parents to come and take a look at the nursery and speak to staff.

On Saturday 12th November, members of the Kent Wildlife Trust will be onsite at Holborough Lakes to show children and families ways to help introduce wildlife into their gardens. With fun activities for all the family to enjoy, everyone will be able to make a wildlife feature for their own garden, and learn lots of ways to use existing household materials to make further attractions for other wildlife inhabitants at home.

Guests will be given a guided tour of the new village green and trim trail, where they will find a range of wildlife homes that have been installed to encourage wildlife into Holborough Lakes.

To book one of the limited places on the Kent Wildlife Day, please email Cassie Crowhurst at Berkeley on cassie.crowhurst[at]berkeleygroup.co.uk. All children under 18 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
