Le Mistral hopes for a ‘joyeux noël’ with party menu

Le Mistral, the award-winning bistro with sites in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, has unveiled a Christmas menu packed with traditional favourites, continental classics and a few festive surprises.

Available from the beginning of December to Christmas Eve, the party menu offers a two course lunch for £10.95 or three courses £14.95, with an evening service of three courses for £19.95. It will be served at Le Mistral’s four venues – Nottingham city centre, Sherwood in Nottingham, and Bakewell and Wirksworth in Derbyshire.

Alongside the traditional, locally sourced, roast turkey and classic Christmas pudding, diners will also be able to choose from a selection of French inspired dishes such as spiced orange crème brûlée, mussels in white wine with garlic and cream, and boeuf bourguignon.

As managing director Chris Bulaitis explains, there will also be a few unique dishes:

“We’re renowned for offering guests a great choice of quality food at our venues, and Christmas is certainly no exception.

“Our executive chef has created a fantastic menu to suit all tastes and as well as the traditional fayre fare and signature French dishes, he’s also created some exciting new fusions. These include a chicken liver pâté blended with toasted pistachios and for dessert a winter berry soup, which sees blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and redcurrants combined together to create a warm Mulled Wine style dish”.

The lunchtime Christmas party menu is available until 5pm. Bookings and pre-order are essential for both the lunchtime and evening menus and require a minimum group size of four.
