Eastern Airways introduces more flights from Bristol
Eastern Airways has introduced more services from Bristol Airport to Aberdeen and Leeds Bradford to meet demand.
The UK’s second largest regional airline has increased flights from two to three each weekday on its Bristol services to both Aberdeen and Leeds Bradford.
Businesses links will be strengthened with the additional services as Aberdeen is Europe’s oil capital and Leeds is one of the north of England’s busiest commercial centres.
Eastern Airways has been operating services from Bristol since 2004 and weekday flights to Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen depart at 6.45am, 12.05pm (Mon-Wed), 1.45pm (Thu-Fri), and 5.15pm (Mon-Wed) and 6pm (Thu-Fri).
Flights from Aberdeen to Bristol depart at 6.50am, 11.30am (Mon-Wed), 3pm (Thu-Fri) and 5pm.
Leeds Bradford flights to Bristol take off at 8.15am, 12.55pm (Mon-Wed), 4.20pm (Thu-Fri) and 6.35pm.
A Sunday service continues to be offered to both Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen from Bristol.
Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways’ commercial director, said: “Business travellers will benefit from our greater frequency of flights as they have more flexibility and choice and can do a day’s business before returning on the same day. Our conveniently timed services are by far the quickest way to get to Yorkshire and north east Scotland and save valuable time compared to ground transport alternatives.”
Shaun Browne, Bristol Airport’s aviation director, said: “Eastern Airways’ enhanced schedule makes travel to these two key destinations more convenient for businesses based in the South West. The increased frequency strengthens the region’s links with Yorkshire and north east Scotland, and opens up opportunities for inbound tourism.”
Check-in closes just 20 minutes before departure and all Eastern Airways passengers have access to fast track security channels at Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen to avoid any queues at security search.
From Bristol, passengers on fully flexible tickets do have access to the fast track security channel and the airport’s executive lounge. Eastern Airways does not charge for checking in, hold baggage, choice of seat or onboard drinks and snacks.
The regional airline is consistently rated one of the UK’s most punctual scheduled airlines and has a fleet of 30 aircraft flying from 21 airports in the UK, Ireland, Norway and France.
