Awana serves up a feast to celebrate Diwali

To mark South Asia’s most popular festival, Chelsea’s fine dining Malaysian restaurant Awana, have created a sumptuous Diwali feast available from 24th October – 6th November. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an ancient Hindu festival that honours Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Using only the finest ingredients, Awana has carefully selected the dishes to light up your evening.

The menu, costing just £18.50 per person, will consist of seven delectable Malaysian dishes, which include Ayam Masala, slow-cooked marinated corn-fed chicken in coconut milk and masala spices, Ikan Goreng, deep-fried marinated red snapper and Dal Kari, a mixed vegetable lentil curry. These appetising dishes can be enjoyed alongside Kobis Goreng, stir-fried cabbage with coconut, Sayur Bayam Goreng, slow-cooked stir-fried spinach, Nasi Putih, fragrant rice and papadum’s.

Finally round off this delicious feast with the authentic dessert of Kuih Manis Kelapa dan Ais Krim, sweet coconut candy served with coconut ice cream. The Diwali menu has something for everyone.

Famously known as London’s only fine-dining Malaysian restaurant, Awana is renowned for combining traditional Malaysian cooking techniques with a contemporary flair and they are set to demonstrate this wholly with the Diwali menu.
