The Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Councillor Brian Luker, recently visited Berkeley’s Holborough Lakes development near Maidstone to officially unveil the new village green and trim trail. Accompanied by his wife, Mrs Joy Luker, they were given a tour of the stunning new village green, trim trail, new marketing suite and show home at the development.

Following the unveiling, the Mayor said: “I am delighted to have been asked to officially open the new village green and trim trail at Holborough Lakes which will offer residents and the local community an exciting new place to enjoy the great outdoors. ”

As the latest new additions to Holborough Lakes, the village green and trim trail are a central focal point for the whole development, offering stunning views down to the lake and an expansive natural area for everyone to enjoy. The trim trail features a series of timber, metal and stone play structures that test strength and stamina. These include stepping blocks, monkey bars and benches to help children develop their balance, agility and co-ordination.

The village green has been fully landscaped with mature trees which are up to 30 years old and includes seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside views. The area also includes a new marketing suite for visitors to find out more about Holborough Lakes.

Other facilities at Holborough Lakes include freshwater lakes, Nemes Dive & Watersports Academy, Stables Day Nursery, Holbody Fitness the resident’s only private gym and a village hall which offers a range of exercise and fitness classes.

The latest phase of new homes to be unveiled is The Nightingales, a collection of one and two bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five bedroom houses designed to capture the essence of Kentish design. Exterior features include tile-hung elevations, tiled roofs and pitched wooden porches.

Set on the edge of the North Downs, Holborough Lakes enjoys excellent transport links to major motorways including the M20, M2 and M25. Ebbsfleet International train station is a short drive away with journey times from Ebbsfleet to St Pancras in just 17 minutes. Local attractions include Bluewater Shopping Centre, Buckmore Race Circuit, Leeds Castle and Diggerland.

The Nightingales at Holborough Lakes currently start from £129,950. For further information regarding Holborough Lakes, visit holboroughlakes.co.uk.
