The Hannah Dining Suite at Quex Park in Birchington is now taking bookings for Christmas.

The former banqueting hall of Quex House, The Hannah Dining Suite is named after the wife of Victorian explorer Major Percy Horace Gordon Powell-Cotton, whose family once owned the Quex Estate.

There is a choice of two menus – a traditional one for £36 a head with a gourmet option at £42. Both include a drinks reception, 3-course Christmas menu, half bottle of wine, coffee, mince pies and an after dinner disco.

The Hannah Dining Suite is suitable for parties of between 70 and 100, with dates available throughout December. There is also availability at select dates in January, which is becoming an increasingly popular choice for with office parties.

Receptions start at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm service.

Quex House, set in 1800 acres of countryside in Birchington, Kent, is home to the Powell-Cotton Museum. Its nine galleries are devoted to the life’s work of Major Percy Horace Gordon Powell-Cotton (1866-1940). The Victorian explorer, collector and conservationist, made expeditions to India and Africa, gathering zoological specimens and anthropological artefacts. The scientific recording of his information means that the Museum now holds the largest collection of endangered and extinct African and Asian animals’ DNA in the world, used internationally for research and active conservation projects.
