Ciro’s Brasserie tempts diners with ‘Cook your own steak’ experience

Ciro’s Brasserie at leading Cheshire hotel, The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa, is creating a dining experience with a difference after adding ‘Cook your own steak’ to its delectable specials board. The exciting new addition to the award-winning restaurant’s menu allows diners to cook their own steak at their table; adding a splash of fun, and leaving steak fans rejoicing.
Recently awarded an AA Rosette and also shortlisted for Cheshire Life Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year (runner up), Ciro’s Brasserie serves the finest, locally sourced 28-day aged beef, including Welsh Black and beef from the Forest of Bowland; which in this unique dining experience, is brought to the table as a sealed raw fillet steak, sizzling on a hot ‘Steak Stone,’ with a selection of delicious dipping sauces, chips and salad. The diner then takes control; cooking their meat just to their liking whether rare, medium or well done, taking their time in cutting and cooking each mouth-watering mouthful, whilst the steak rests on the stone without risk of cooking too quickly.
This novel way of dining fits perfectly with the Tuscan style surroundings of Ciro’s Brasserie and is already attracting a host of steak fans, as steak becomes increasingly popular here in the UK. With more and more steakhouses springing up around the UK and gathering pace, it is little surprise we Brits placed steak top of the list as our favourite food in Oxfam’s global food survey in 2011.
‘Steak Stones’ will feature on the specials menu at Ciro’s Brasserie and Nelson’s Bar before rotating around the restaurants within the Nelson Hotel group; featuring at The Pheasant Inn, The Bear’s Paw, and the latest addition to the group, The Fishpool Inn. If proven as popular as anticipated, ‘Cook your own steak’ could soon be a permanent feature on the menu at each of the restaurants.

‘Cook your own steak’ is currently available at Ciro’s Brasserie and Nelson’s Bar, from Monday to Saturday.
