Tapjoy’s VP of Europe Paul Bowen – one of the leading advocates of virtual currency in the UK – will teach developers how to make money on Android at the F2P Summit next month.

In his presentation - Making Money on Android: Numbers from the Field – Bowen will unveil techniques and tips on how to maximise revenues from Android development as well as dig deeper by sharing case studies from recipients of Tapjoy's $5 million Android Fund, which supports developers porting games to Android.

“Android development is a red hot topic for the games industry: it recently overtook iOS and RIM for the number one position in market share among global mobile operating systems and nearly 500,000 new Android-enabled devices are activated every day. This session is an absolute must-attend for everyone involved in developing free to play games content,” commented event director Andy Lane from organiser Tandem Events.

Alex Wiltshire, online editor of Edge, is also hosting a round table at F2P Summit, which takes place on 28 March 2012 at Rich Mix in London, called ‘My Worst Mistake’. Fellow panellists include Zynga’s Matthew Wiggins, Relentless co-founder Andrew Eades and Papaya Mobile’s Oscar Clark who will discuss the business and design mistakes they’ve made that have inadvertently led to their biggest successes and explain the lessons they’ve learned and how they exploited them to carve out their places in Free 2 Play – currently the most vibrant sector in video gaming.

F2P Summit is the UK’s first free to play conference. Registration is open now and early bird passes (with a saving of £100) can be purchased until 14 March from f2p-summit.com/registration/
