The Principality Building Society is supporting a concert this summer by one of the UK's favourite pop stars, Olly Murs to launch a brand new outdoor music venue opening in North Wales.

Access All Eirias takes place in the 15,000 capacity Eirias Stadium, Colwyn Bay on Saturday July 28th, tickets are available from orchardentertainment.co.uk or accessalleirias.com.

Olly rose to fame as runner-up in the sixth series of The X Factor, and has since gone on to record a double platinum selling album and number one singles. He is currently on a sell-out tour of the UK which started in Cardiff at the beginning of February.

The news will be announced at a special launch event at the Eirias Stadium on Thursday, where an audience including cabinet members and councillors from Conwy Council and directors from Orchard, Wales' largest independent music promoter will watch a recorded message from Olly, indicating how much he is looking forward to playing Access All Eirias during the summer. Olly said: "I can't wait to play Access All Eirias on July 28th and to entertain my fans in North Wales in what promises to be a great show." Support acts will be announced in due course.

Graeme Yorston, Chief Operating Officer at Principality Building Society said: "Access All Eirias will undoubtedly be a fantastic family day out and we are delighted to be supporting such an event, particularly in the North of Wales. We pride ourselves on supporting local communities and having just recently opened a Principality agency counter in Colwyn Bay, we are committed to help put this area of Wales on the map. Access all Eirias with it's  fantastic line-up will help to attract a much wider audience to enjoy this part of the world."

Iwan Davies, Chief Executive of Conwy County Borough Council said: "We're looking forward to welcoming Olly to Colwyn Bay. This spectacular concert will showcase the facilities at Eirias to a whole new audience and help establish it as the perfect location for community, cultural and sporting events."

"The redevelopment of Eirias is a cornerstone of our regeneration work in Colwyn Bay.  The multi-million pound investment in the town under the Bay Life+ Programme is providing substantial opportunities for North Wales."

Olly is signed to Epic Records and Simon Cowell's Syco Music label, and sold over 600,000 copies of his debut album Olly Murs, from which he had number one single success with Please Don't Let Me Go. He recently released the follow-up album In Case You Didn't Know, which went straight in at number one, and from it the singles Heart Skips A Beat and Dance With Me Tonight also went to the top of the charts.

Orchard director Pablo Janczur said: "We are really excited to bring Olly Murs to this great new outdoor venue in Colwyn Bay and we are sure that fans from across North Wales will flock to see one of the UK's most popular stars during the height of summer. We are really pleased that one of the biggest names in Wales, Principality Building Society, have come on board to support the concert."
