Land Rover’s new navigation for the New Year
Land Rover’s New Year resolution is to make it easier for owners to get 2007 off to a fresh start with the latest satellite maps. Drivers can now order navigation system map updates through a new online facility – and by selling direct to customers, many disks can be offered at less than half the original price.

Toyota fleet reduced by 56 tonnes
Toyota (GB) PLC is turning its fleet team green by giving them Toyota Prius company cars. A saving of 56 tonnes of CO2 is achieved because Prius produces one tonne less CO2 than the best D-segment diesels on the market.

Revised engines for Toyota Land Cruiser
The engine range for the Toyota Land Cruiser has been revised in line with Euro IV emissions standards. Both the 3.0-litre D-4D diesel and 4.0-litre VVT-i V6 petrol unit have been re-engineered to produce lower levels of particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon dioxide emissions are also slightly reduced.

National Farmers' Union takes 150th Ford biofuel car
Ford has delivered the 150th Ford Focus Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) registered in Britain to the National Farmers' Union. Vice president Paul Temple is using the car, which can run on bioethanol made from UK-grown crops such as wheat and sugar beet.
