Nissan reaches 100 millionth production milestone
Nissan today announced it reached a new milestone in June with the production of its 100 millionth vehicle. Since its establishment in 1933, Nissan has produced about 76,640,000 vehicles in Japan and about 23,500,000 vehicles overseas. As of the end of June, Nissan’s total global production stood at about 100,140,000 vehicles.

Nissan to introduce new family of global cars
Nissan today announced it would release a new family of global cars over the next two years with sales of the first variant to start in China in 2006. The Livina Geniss, the name of the Chinese variant, will be the first Nissan car ever to be released in China ahead of other global markets.

Lyons and Tigers conquer at Goodwood
The NISMO GT500 championship winning Japanese Touring Car 350Z made its first appearance at Goodwood a memorable one yesterday by claiming the fastest time up the hill of 49.5 seconds. In fact, the Z was one of only two cars to break the 50 second barrier. This result is even more remarkable given that championship winning driver Richard Lyons had never been up the tricky and narrow hill climb circuit before.

The new Nissan NOTE has scooped its first award, taking the inaugural title of best Supermini MPV in the Auto Express New Car Honours. In a new category created for the 2006 Honours, the NOTE fought off stiff competition from the Honda Jazz and the Renault Modus to take the title.
