Nissan to spice up the South of England Show
If you are looking for adventure this weekend, then you’d better get along to Nissan’s award winning exhibition at The South of England Show at Ardingly, Haywards Heath on 8-10 June. Nissan will have you scaling the heights and jumping for joy, not only with the latest range of trailblazing vehicles but also by their branded rock climbing, bungee and other challenges.

Nissan drivers take Note
Nissan’s new NOTE family hatchback is proving to be another success story for the company with sales running 12% ahead of expectation. It’s also proving to be a hit with existing Nissan owners with more than half of NOTE sales going to loyal fans of the brand. And Nissan is looking to attract some more of them with its latest NOTE offer: three years 0% finance and 20% deposit.

Lyons and Tigers released at Goodwood
Nissan will be showing off in many ways at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (7-9 July) from a race winning 350Z never seen before in Europe to a couple of new, speed themed concept cars making their international debuts. The company will also be making a bid for the title of fastest vehicle at the Festival … with a Nissan Primera.

Specially adapted Note takes centre stage at Mobility Roadshow
Nissan will be premiering a specially adapted NOTE at the Mobility Roadshow from 8 -10 June 2006, at the event’s new venue, Kemble Airfield near Swindon.

Murano changes its Birdview
Nissan has upgraded the Murano’s standard DVD satellite navigation system to the latest clearer and quicker version first seen in the Pathfinder and more recently made available in the 350Z. The Murano’s engine has also been upgraded to meet Euro 4 emissions regulations. Yet, with no price change, the Murano is still as fantastic value for money as ever.

Nissan Primastar wins award
Nissan Primastar has won the award for Best Medium Van in the 2006 Commercial Fleet World Honours. The trophy was presented to Nissan’s fleet sales director, Dave Murfitt, at a special ceremony held at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall on Thursday 18 May.

Fifth wheel Navara puts the rock into Rockingham Show
Nissan is preparing to rock visitors to the Truck Zone at SED 2006, the national event for the construction industry, held at Rockingham Performance Park between 16 and 18 May, by displaying a combination of innovative debutants and stars. Making its public debut, will be a Navara pick-up complete with a fifth wheel modified by tow-vehicle experts the Fifth Wheel Company.

Micra C+C goes gold – this season’s must have fashion accessory
Nissan has teamed up with Breakthrough Breast Cancer to mark the tenth anniversary of the charity’s flagship campaign, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and designed a one-off Micra C+C in glittering gold to mark the occasion.

A life in the month of the Pathfinder
Nissan’s Pathfinder is having a busy month. First it was off to Larzac in Southern France to collect the ‘4x4 of the Year’ award from French magazine 4x4. Then Euro NCAP announced that the Pathfinder achieves a four-star rating for adult occupation protection making it one of the safest SUVs available. And now Nissan by coincidence has revised the entire Pathfinder line-up and cut prices by as much as £3065. Plus the company is giving away £2000 worth of Technology Pack on the new Pathfinder Sport. So given the close timings, forgive the one news story covers all.

Sheffield man lands topless beauty
Local Sheffield student Damian Ronksley has his very own topless beauty… in the shape of a brand new Nissan Micra C+C. Damian won the car, which was launched during a nationwide city tour in partnership with Breakthrough Breast Cancer, after entering the TLC (Touch, Look, Check) “Text to win” competition.
Infiniti to launch across Europe in 2008
Nissan has announced that its Infiniti luxury brand will launch across the European market during 2008. The announcement was made in Tokyo by President and CEO, Carlos Ghosn, during a press conference for the 2005 fiscal year results.
Nissan announces plans for new manufacturing plant in St. Petersburg, Russia
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, today announced plans to invest $200 million (5.5 billion Rubles) in a new assembly plant in St. Petersburg, Russia. The announcement was made in Tokyo by President and CEO, Carlos Ghosn, during a press conference for the 2005 fiscal year results. Production will begin in 2009. The plan is subject to the approval and signing of an agreement with Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Nissan paints the yard pink
Nissan is appealing to the growing number of metrosexual tradesmen with the launch of a special pink version of Bobby the Builder’s favourite workhorse, the Cabstar forward control truck. In addition, anyone test-driving a Cabstar before the end of June will receive a voucher for a free back wax.

Two more wins for the Nissan Navara
The Nissan Navara has won another two awards: 4x4 magazine has voted it ‘Pick-up of the Year’ and the Navara has also collected the title of ‘Best Pick-Up and 4x4’ in the 2006 Commercial Motor Testers’ Choice Awards. These bring the trophy tally up to three. And the Navara has only been on sale five months.

Motoring writers in the pink for charity
A group of brave motoring journalists road tested the new Nissan Micra C+C between November and the end of January 2006. What’s brave or unusual about that you may ask? Well, the Micra C+Cs in question were pink and they were all raising money for Nissan’s charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
