Nissan X-Trail takes new directions
Nissan’s multi award winning X-TRAIL takes a new direction from January 2006. Three different directions in fact. The SE model is now available with a package of features designed to make a family journey as happy as possible. And the best selling Sport version bows out to be replaced by the Columbia, produced in association with the American sportswear company, while the SVE and T-spec models are merged into a new Aventura variant. All are available with a new Euro IV version of Nissan’s popular dCi engine. Yet despite extra equipment, prices remain the same.
Nissan opens roads
Nissan has launched a new public website to increase awareness of technologies, such as satellite navigation, that are already available on Nissan’s range of vehicles, and to showcase services that will be used in future products. nissan-openroad.co.uk has three main functions – an off-road course locator, a pan-European route planner and traffic information.
Nissan Navara voted ‘Best Pick-Up’
The Nissan Navara has been voted "Best Pick-Up" in the 2005 What Van? Awards, beating off stiff competition from the Toyota Hilux and eight-times winner Mitsubishi L200.

Computer gremlins in Brighton and London beware! ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’, the mobile computer experts, has just taken delivery of its eighth Nissan Micra. With plans for nationwide expansion, the company’s fleet of Micras could eventually swell to 150.
Nissan Murano makes its entrance into entertainment
Nissan has come up with a couple of new accessories designed to accentuate the Murano’s head-turning exterior and calming ambience: chrome side-steps which illuminate the ground for the grandest entrance and an integrated, rear DVD system with infrared headphones for the ultimate in entertainment.
Micra C+C peep show
The Nissan Micra C+C, in partnership with Breakthrough Breast Cancer, will be revealing itself during a nation-wide tour of city centres starting in London’s Covent Garden between 27 and 30 October.
Nissan is 4x4 maker of the year
Nissan is the 2006 4x4 Maker of the Year. At least according to 4x4 & MPV Driver magazine it is. And few should disagree given Nissan’s range of six four-wheel drives, soon to become seven, which caters for the widest variety of customers’ 4x4 needs and even includes 4x4s that aren’t.
