A festival of dance for 0s to 90s
Over 1200 performers ranging from ages 0 to 90 are to descend on Sadler’s Wells for the annual Connect Festival. From Saturday 23 February – Sunday 16 March 2008, local primary and secondary school children rub shoulders with Associate Artists and the Sadler’s Wells’ resident over 60s performers for three weeks of wide-ranging dance activities.
Supergrass present Diamond Hoo Ha Men
Diamond Hoo Ha Men are Duke Diamond and Randy Hoo Ha, alias Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey from Supergrass.They bring their electrifying White Stripe-style two-piece to the Apple store Regent Street on January 15th.

Elizabeth Watts heads for Taunton
International soprano Elizabeth Watts, winner of the Lieder Prize and Opera finalist in the Cardiff Singer of the World 2007, will sing Richard Strauss’s ‘Four Last Songs’ with OrchestraWest in Kings College Chapel, Taunton, on Sunday February 3rd. The concert starts at 6pm, and Artistic Director John Cole conducts.

The Olde Gate Inn in Brassington near Matlock has been named Britain’s cosiest pub by The Times. Roger Protz, the editor of The Good Beer Guide, was asked to recommend pubs with all the cosy features you need to keep freezing temperatures at bay -roaring fires, good company, and a fine pint - and came up with The Olde Gate Inn.
