Facebook users are often unknowingly revealing their profile data and that of their friends by agreeing to download seemingly innocuous Facebook applications, according to a BBC investigation.
TV licence fee rises from 1 April
The cost of a colour television licence is set to rise to £139.50 and a black and white licence will cost £47.00, Culture Secretary Andy Burnham has announced. The increase, to be brought into effect by an order laid in the House of Commons today, follows the six-year BBC funding settlement which began in April 2007.

ITV survey reveals public fears over climate change
A recent survey commissioned by ITV1 to support the transmission of Flood this weekend has found that over two-thirds of those surveyed (71%) feel that global warming is having an effect on weather conditions in the UK, with almost half (44%) believing that climate change poses a direct threat or risk to their lifestyle or home.

Coldplay to release new album in June
