Emirates graduates ready to boost aviation industry
As the region’s aviation and tourism industry continues to grow, so does the demand for qualified personnel. The good news is that following the 16th Graduation Ceremony from the Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) there are now 120 new graduates ready to join the industry.

Emirates – Tailored for a new era
Emirates Airline's 16,000-plus uniformed staff are to be given a sharper, more business-like look with the introduction of a brand new uniform. Carrying forward the strongest components of the existing iconic outfit, the new, stylish and contemporary look will be unveiled when the airline receives its first A380s over the next months. The cabin crew assigned to Emirates’ flagship aircraft will be the first to wear the new uniform.

Emirates launches hotel-for-free offer
In line with Emirates' continued efforts to promote Dubai as a world-class tourist destination, the airline is offering First and Business Class passengers flying to or via Dubai special super value packages from 1st July to 31st August. First Class Passengers receive two nights at The Palace - The Old Town or The Harbour Hotel and Residence.

Emirates SkyCargo increases services to China
The Emirates SkyCargo presence was certainly felt at Air Cargo China 2008 with the award winning carrier’s spectacular, new, double-storey exhibition stand. Next week Emirates SkyCargo’s presence in southern China will also be felt with the launch, on 1st July, of six direct Guangzhou-Dubai services a week.

Emirates to launch first commercial A380 service to America
Air travellers will be able to experience Emirates Airline’s state-of-the-art A380 aircraft for the first time on 1st August, when the airline launches its first A380 commercial service from Dubai to New York JFK. The 14-hour non-stop flight will also be the first-ever commercial A380 service to The Americas.

Emirates Airline, the largest customer for the A380 superjumbo, today announced it will receive the first of its 58 A380 aircraft on order from Airbus’ Hamburg facility on 28th July 2008. The 58 A380s on Emirates’ order book are worth US$ 18.8 billion at current list prices.
Dubai-based airline to launch daily flights to Durban
Following the successful start of operations in Cape Town, Emirates Airline will advance its presence in South Africa with the introduction of daily flights to Durban, effective 1st December 2008.
