Madrid becomes 17th easyJet base

Andy Harrison, easyJet’s Chief Executive, today officially opens easyJet’s 17th base at Madrid’s Barajas airport. The airline expects to carry over two million passengers from Madrid in 2007 on 18 routes - three domestic, thirteen European and two to North Africa.

Aer Lingus to reduce fuel surcharges on long haul flights

Aer Lingus is to reduce long haul fuel surcharges by 25% on all tickets booked for flights to and from the US and the Middle East from midnight on the 12th February 2007. The fuel surcharge reduction represents a decrease of €10/US$15 each way and comes as a result of decreasing international oil prices.

From 24th February 2007, Solomon Airlines will introduce direct scheduled services between the Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands and Nadi, the main airport of Fiji.

SAS launches new route from Stockholm to Bangkok
