easyJet takes Southend on Ski with new Geneva flight

easyJet has celebrated the inaugural flight of its latest route from London Southend Airport, to popular ski and city destination Geneva.

Passengers were invited to join easyJet crew and London Southend Airport Managing Director Alastair Welch for photos in a giant, festive, winter wonderland snow globe which had been put up in the terminal and toasted the occasion with a glass of bubbly before departure.

Geneva, renowned for its artful watchmakers and breathtaking lakeside views beside Europe’s highest peak Mont Blanc, is one of Europe’s most popular destinations for ski and snowboarders looking to maximise their time on the slopes, with several resorts such as La Clusaz, Chamonix and Morzine Avoriaz, no more than 90 minutes away.

The thrice weekly easyJet flights from London Southend to Geneva (departing on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday) are available now in time for peak ski season at from as little as £31.99 one way including taxes.

easyJet recently announced its expansion plans for new Summer 2013 routes which went on sale on 6 December from London Southend to Krakow in Poland and to the German capital Berlin.
