Wines for the winter season
Matching wine and food is becoming increasingly popular but Morrisons’ wine experts can also help you find the perfect wine to complement the time of year. Casillero del Diablo Reserva Privada £8.99
Since its launch back in July this Chilean red, which is exclusive to Morrisons, has been flying off the shelves, and for good reason. Its rich, dark colour, intense blackcurrant and red cherry fruit flavours and spicy, velvety finish make this a great wine for curling up with next to a roaring fire. Try it with full flavoured cheese and meat and game dishes.

This medium-full bodied Australian Shiraz evokes flavours of raspberry spice, green olive and truffle, and creamy coconut oak with soft, lingering tannins. Enjoy it with red meat dishes and strong cheeses.

This South Africa Merlot is bursting with juicy dark fruit leading to a smooth, silky finish. Great to both quaff and share it is also good with red meats.
Inycon Estate Shiraz Viognier £7.99
Rich, velvet-textured with an aromatic nose, full bodied and with a smooth finish this Italian red is very flexible in what it can be paired with, suiting a wide variety of beef, lamb and pasta dishes. While reds are typically thought of as warming over winter, these flavoursome whites are just as enjoyable on a cold evening.
