Morrisons’ exclusive wine makes world top 10 Griffith Park Sparkling Rose, which is sold exclusively through Morrisons, has beaten off stiff competition to win a Gold medal and a place in the ‘Top 10 Sparkling Wines in the World’ at the renowned Effervescents du Monde competition.

The competition, which is currently in its fifth year, aims to find the best sparkling wines in the world and with 408 entries from 24 countries this year alone, Griffith Park proved its excellence by making the list of Top 10 Sparkling Wines, and being the only Australian wine to do so. It is judged by a panel of 60 experienced, international judges who make sure the wines undergo rigorous tasting processes and who look for diversity, quality and high standards.

Suzie Cornwell commented, “This is a great achievement for Griffith Park and is testament to the quality of the wine range we offer at Morrisons. It is also one of our recommendations for aperitifs this Christmas and at the current promotional price of £4.99 means you can impress guests this festive season with a great value award winning wine.”

A total of 34 Gold medals and 102 Silver medals were awarded this year, with 50% of the winners hailing from France.

Islay Kennedy, of Griffith Park suppliers Vickery Wines, commented, “It is wonderful to receive such an accolade. We are very proud of Griffith Park and think it is an excellent wine but it is great to hear that experts think the same!”

Griffith Park Sparkling Rose can be found in all Morrisons stores priced at £6.49. It is currently on offer at £4.99 until the 6th January.
