Make some new wine discoveries at Spar

Convenience store Spar, has announced the re-launch of its award winning Discoveries wine range, available in stores across the UK from March 2008. Spar Discoveries is an innovative collection of wines created by Spar’s expert wine buying team to showcase the unexpected treasures that can still be discovered, despite the increasing globalisation of wine production.

The new Spar Discoveries range offers its customers the best possible quality and excitement from the world of wine, as well as great value for money. If the Sauvignon comes from Chile rather than New Zealand, and the Chardonnay is from the Cape rather than Australia, then it is simply because the Spar buying team know the importance of offering the best wine to the customer from some of the most revered wine producers.

Spar recognises that wine is the tipple of choice for UK drinkers, which is why it strives to provide its customers with a varied modern range. Spar’s very knowledgeable wine buying team, with their many years of experience, have spent months researching and developing everything from the heritage of the vineyard to the striking packaging. The Discoveries range is attractive not only to the eye but also the pallet and the pocket!

Spar has over 45 wines in its range, including the award winning Frascati Superiore, Champagne Marquis Duperray and Chilean Merlot. The UK alcohol market has grown by 6% in last year; however, with a huge 15% growth in sales of their own brand wine since 2006*, Spar brand wines are a must-have in the wine rack.

All wines in the Discoveries range have an RSP of £4.99 a bottle.
