An eco-friendly wine list for The Rex Cinema + Bar

The Rex Cinema + Bar has announced it’s new menu for 2008 featuring an all-new, eco-friendly wine-list. The new list will only feature wines made using organic, biodynamic or sustainable resources and techniques.

In a time when we are becoming increasingly aware of our environment and more specifically the impact of climate change on the world around us, now you can enjoy a guilt-free glass of wine in front of your favourite film at The Rex.

For a delicious white choose the Chilean certified organic Chardonnay, Chilcas or the Lagader “Riff” Pinot Grigio, produced in a carbon neutral, solar powered cellar, and for an innocent, yet richly flavoured, red try the Argento Reserva Malbec. Argento organically farm all their vineyards, which are based in a near perfect, disease-free climate in the Andes.

The Rex Cinema + Bar, located in Rupert Street, Soho, features a state-of-the-art 75-seat cinema, together with a 1930s style lounge bar open until 3am. The cinema screens old classics as well as advance previews of soon-to-be-released blockbuster movies.

The bar is open on Tuesday to Friday from 6:00pm until late and from 8:00pm until 3:00am on Saturday and offers waitress service at the tables and in the cinema. An extensive range of classic cocktails is also available, together with a full champagne list although if you wish to enjoy an environmentally friendly tipple stick to the wine!
