Can you keep a secret?

5th March 2008 Print
Can you keep a secret? What do you do when you discover an amazing new wine? Do you tell all your friends and encourage them to buy lots of it too or do you accept the compliments about the wine without revealing your sources? This time instead of choosing a wine that is good value for money, why not choose a wine that is great value for money!

This fantastic wine from the Colchagua Valley has been lovingly crafted by Nicolas Bizzarri for the multi award winning winery Luis Felipe Edwards.

Their Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 beat all other Chilean reds in the competition to win the Best Value Red Trophy at the recent Wines of Chile Awards.

It’s jam packed with blackcurrant and bramble fruits on the nose with a touch of creamy spicy oak. The black fruits continue on the palate with touches of red fruits and plums all balanced out by crunchy yet supple tannins. The finish is deliciously long and incredibly smooth.

The LFE Estate Cabernet Sauvignon complements all types of foods; try pairing it with red meats or slow cooked sausage, tomato based pasta dishes or a selection of cheeses. It will also stand up to stronger dishes making it the ideal BBQ wine. It’s a real crowd pleaser and it is also smooth enough to drink on its own.

The only trouble once you’ve tried it is keeping the secret to yourself! LFE Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is available from Tesco priced £5.99.
