So how efficient are these hoods? Many models in the range offer an amazing extraction rate of 1200 m3/hr, which means that on the maximum setting, these hoods can completely change the air in an average sized kitchen as quickly as 25 times an hour, or once every two-and-a-half minutes. With an external motor, this increases to a phenomenal 4000 m3/hr
