Luckily help is at hand - Whirlpool is launching its four-strong range of A+ rated chest freezers with extra low running costs, which means you can store all the food you need for Christmas, whilst helping the environment and saving you cash at the same time.

The A+ rated range, which saves up to 43% more than C classic models, comprises the Whirlpool AFG 6552 E-AP, Whirlpool AFG 6452 E-AP, Whirlpool AFG 070 NF E-AP Never Defrost and Whirlpool AFG 070 E-AP. Each model has been designed to help accommodate individual needs whilst key cost saving and eco-friendly features run throughout the collection.

Touch of a button
Each of the chest freezers feature a new Electronic Control System with improved performance and design compared to mechanically controlled models. Precision temperature setting and control is enabled by intuitive sensors, which can detect temperature variations and activate the compressor to respond accordingly, ensuring that the appliance runs efficiently. An Economy setting can also be selected when the freezer is partially loaded in order that you can benefit from lower running costs and avoid unnecessary energy waste.

Design of the times
Whirlpool’s latest range of chest freezers showcases modern and intuitive design with features that are functional and stylish. Handles with improved grip are robust yet elegant and the new inner door section with semi-transparent lamp adds a touch of style to the interior. The lids feature a counterbalance system to ensure they close gently so that the freezer can be accessed easily without the worry of harming hands.

Defrost-free Christmas
Exclusive to the AFG 070 NF E-AP model is Whirlpool’s Never Defrost technology, which makes the arduous task of defrosting a thing of past. On average chest freezers need to be defrosted every nine months, however the Never Defrost technology absorbs humidity which prevents the formation of ice inside the freezer and helps maintain optimal performance. Food items won’t stick together and no precious space is wasted by accumulated ice.
