Morocco tipped to be the next Spain

21st June 2007 Print
Morocco tipped to be the next Spain When industry leaders participating at this year’s Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) were asked which country they thought had the potential to be the next Spain in terms of revenue and tourism development, Morocco came out on top. Latest figures show that in 2006 some 6.5 million tourists visited the North African country, up 700,000 on the previous year.

Rob Shaw, Marketing and Operations Manager for Morocco Properties, says: “There is a real possibility that Morocco could be the ‘new Spain’. One only has to look at its close proximity to northern Europe and Spain, the upgrading of infrastructures, the continued investment and the variety it has to offer. Most recently Gulf Finance House launched the first phase if its $1.4 billion Gateway to Morocco project, which is sure to give even more confidence to investors. Morocco has matured over the last few years; there was a time when property investors and holiday home hunters would not have given Morocco a second thought, however now it has something to offer everyone and confidence is high on all fronts.”

Morocco Properties are currently marketing Villas de la Plage for Le Jardin de Fleur. Part of the government sponsored touristic resort of Mediterrania Sadia, there are a range of detached and semi detached two and three bedroom villas now available. Each property features high quality Moroccan architecture and each comes fully furnished to the market with luxury interiors. Situated just minutes from the beach, 5 star sports facilities, a large marina and shopping centre, Le Jardin de Fluer offers an array of amenities including, landscaped gardens, lagoon style swimming pools, clubhouse, fitness centre, spa, restaurant, bars, tennis, shops, amphitheatre, games room, 24 hour reception area and its adjoining a golf course.

Rob continues, “Villas de la Plage offer a superb investment with a fully managed lease-back option. Part of the government backed vision 2010 resort, there will be superb rental income prospects and excellent capital appreciation as the resort develops. Prices start from just £163,000 with 60% of the total not due until full completion in 2010.”
