easyJet utilises Windows Vista system
easyJet, Europe’s leading low-fares airline, and Microsoft are to launch the pioneering “easyJet desk top gadget”.The two leading technological innovators have teamed up for the development of the new Windows Vista and the 2007 Microsoft Office System to create a range of desktop "gadgets" and web services to ensure travel is seamless from desk top to touch down.
The "easyJet desk top gadget" enables customers to personalise flight information and booking services using the Microsoft Vista technology.
From the comfort of your own desktop the “gadget” provides:
- Simple one click purchase of easyJet flights
- Real time updates
- Rescheduling
- Directions to airports
- Calendar management
As well as access destination information such as:
- Hotels
- Car hire
- Conference facilities
- Restaurants
As a direct sell airline, with more than 98% of seats sold online, easyJet is committed to investing technological developments to provide consumers with greater choice and flexibility whist reducing costs and passing the savings on to customers.
This latest innovation of providing consumers direct access from their desktops, will also save time and effort by using Windows Vista technology to give them access to all of their travelling needs.
