LONDON
Cathedrals, concerts and family fun; the long Easter weekend sees the city come alive with activity including church services, live concerts and family-friendly events.

London is home to some of the oldest and most breathtaking holy buildings in the world. The most famous of which is St. Paul’s Cathedral, masterpiece of Britain’s most admired architect, Sir Christopher Wren. With its splendid dome, soaring arches and intricate carving, Wren had built an icon for the nation.

St. Paul’s was a great achievement, as it is the only cathedral finished in a designer’s lifetime. Building commenced in 1675 and the final stone was laid on the Lantern in October 1708, on Sir Christopher’s 76th birthday...

Experience ‘times gone by’ in Battersea, on the banks of the river Thames in South London, where you will be delighted by the annual horse parade. With an array of horse-drawn carriages, this annual Easter Monday event is a huge parade of working horses along the main streets of Battersea and finishing in the local Park. Giant cart horses to Shetland ponies, all brought out to help you get a real feel for how London streets looked almost a century ago.
