The food doctor takes to the skies with easyJet
The Food Doctor is bringing healthy eating to easyJet passengers with the introduction of its snacks on all flights. Three of The Food Doctor products will be available to purchase on all flights: Get Set Bars, Original Seeds Sachets and Soya Nuts Sachets. The move by easyJet to supply The Food Doctor products on the in-flight refreshment selection, reflects the current consumer demand for healthy snacks on the go. The Food Doctor brand is leading the way in providing these healthy choices to travellers and commuters.
The Food Doctor has also had a selection of products available in airport and railway station branches of WH Smith for the past year, gaining an advantage in a market that until now has been dominated by unhealthy options such as crisps and chocolates.
The Seed Mix is The Food Doctor’s first and most widely enjoyed product. The mix delivers a high level of protein, fibre and essential fatty acids, whilst also being exceptionally low in carbohydrate. The seeds are also a natural source of vitamin E and excellent for the digestive system. The Soya Nuts are an ideal snack, naturally high in protein and low in saturated fats, they are also low in salt and especially crunchy. Finally, the Get Set bar is packed with oats and quinoa to ensure a sustained release of energy, which combined with dates and banana provide a balanced mix of nutrients.
Michael da Costa, Managing Director of The Food Doctor, said: “We are thrilled The Food Doctor products are now available on all easyJet flights. Just like The Food Doctor, easyJet has always been at the forefront of business development and we are both committed to providing the best possible consumer offering. An association between the two brands was an obvious move due to the synergies between us.”
The selection of products available on board easyJet flights is supported by advertising in easyJet’s in flight magazine – ‘easyJet Shop’. And to support the seed range in particular the advert uses the slogan ‘Since you are in the air, why not eat like a bird!”
