Princes William and Harry have organised a musical extravaganza in honour of their Mother at the new Wembley Stadium in London on the 1st of July 2007.
The artists have been hand picked by the boys, with some of Diana’s personal friends and favourite artists performing at this celebration of her life and achievements. Diana’s close friend Sir Elton John will headline the concert, with entertainers such as Rod Stewart, Duran Duran and Take That also on the bill.
Proceeds from the concert will go to charities supported by the late Princess, and will also go to charities of which the Princes are Patrons.

The O2 Wireless Festival – Hyde Park London
The O2 Wireless Festival is held in London’s largest and most beautiful park - Hyde Park, which comes alive with some of the coolest sounds from the British and American music scene from Thursday the 14th to Sunday the 17th of June, attracting both party goers and relaxed music lovers alike. The four day long festival offers performances from bands such as the Kaiser Chiefs, Faithless, Queens of the Stone Age, Badly drawn Boy, and The Twang.
Food from around the world is served all day from fish and chips to tofu-burgers, and with plenty of soft drinks and beer available in the main arena, all manner of taste bud is tantalised. Children are more than welcome, however under 14’s will need an adult over 21 to accompany them.

Live Earth – London
Following in the phenomenally successful foot steps of Live Aid and Live 8, the Live Earth concert which is taking place in six cities across the globe: Johannesburg, London, New Jersey, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Sydney and Tokyo, over a 24 hour period is expected to raise awareness of environmental issues worldwide.
The concert in London takes places on 7 July at the new Wembley Stadium with performances including Madonna, Genesis and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, as well as Razorlight, Keane, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and The Black Eyed Peas.

Abbey Road
2007 sees the 30th anniversary of one of the most influencial albums in the World – The Beatles’s Sargent Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band. There is no more fitting a time to visit the legendary Abbey Road Studios, home to the historic recording studio and focal point for decades of fans on Beatles pilgrimages. In 1931 it opened its doors to anyone wanting to record any type of music. More than 70 years later it is still the most technically advanced recording and mixing studio in the world.
The London underground will take you direct to St. John’s Wood station where in five minutes you will be standing outside one of world music’s seminal points.
Battersea Power Station
Battersea power station is one of London’s iconic landmarks also made famous by the cover of Pink Floyd’s album ‘Animals’, The Who’s ‘Quadrophenia’ and was also a location used in the video for ‘Help’ by The Beatles.
Reachable by Underground on the Victoria Line, Battersea Power Station itself is closed to the public, but its imposing stature of art deco design which dominated the Victorian inner city is one of the most evocative sights in London and a unique opportunity to capture the feeling of an imperialist age befitting London’s industrial past.
34 Ridgemount Gardens
British artists aren’t the only famous musicians to have lived in London. 34 Ridgemount Gardens, was the first London home of the legendary Bob Marley in 1972. In October 2006, a plaque was unveiled to commemorate his residency. To see it, the closest Underground station is Goodge Street.
Kings Road
The Kings Road is a Mecca for design aficionados and was where Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood baptised their shop “sex” in the mid 70s, making it the cradle for British punk and where John Liddon AKA Jonny Rotten auditioned for the Sex Pistols. Kings Road can be reached on the Fulham Broadway Underground stop.
Berwick Street
Berwick Street near to Tottenham Court Road Underground station, was chosen by Oasis for the cover of the album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory’ whilst nearby Denmark Street is famous instead for its music shops and recording studios, used by The Beatles and the Rolling Stones used in the 60s. The Sex Pistols chose 6 Denmark Street for a live performance in the mid-70s.
Camden
The area of Camden, also known for its eclectic market, is today still one of London’s key areas for emerging talent in the British music scene with a wide variety of live music venues, including the Bar Fly, The Round House, Electric Ballroom and nearby Forum. One of the most famous venues is the Dublin Castle pub, easily accessible from Camden Town tube station, an old Victorian style pub where Blur took their first steps. The Good Mixer also in Camden is a pub which Blur and Oasis went to regularly in the mid-90s when Britpop was at its height. Whilst megastars such as The Police, Coldplay and Madonna have performed at the intimate Koko Club, near Mornington Crescent tube station.
