Take off for new easyJet route to Mahon - Menorca

17th July 2007 Print
easyJet, Europe's leading low-fares airline, will today welcome passengers on board its inaugural flight from Newcastle to Mahon. The twice weekly flight to Mahon, one of the most beautiful islands off the East coast of Spain, has great low fares from £19.99 one way (including tax).

Forward sales for Mahon are strong with over 5,000 passengers expected to travel this summer.

Mahon is capital of the popular Balearic island of Menorca and is also known as Mao. It is a beautiful historical city with much to do in and around the centre. Outside of Mahon, the island boasts plenty of beautiful beaches, particularly along its south west coast. You can expect peace and quiet as you relax and enjoy the unforgettable clear azure waters and beautiful white sandy coastline surrounding this magnificent island. Menorca is a rural joy with some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean, definitely an island hotspot not to be missed.

Katie Stitson, easyJet Market Manager, said:

”The addition of Mahon to our choice of routes from Newcastle airport has been popular with passengers from the North-East and forward sales have been strong. This is the second new route from Newcastle this year, following the launch of our Krakow flight which began earlier this year.”
