easyJet advice for passengers travelling to Spain

13th September 2007 Print
Additional information is now required from passengers travelling to Spain. Under a Directive from the European Union, carriers are obliged to collect Advance Passenger Information (API) from a passengers’ travel document, such as date of birth, passport number and nationality, prior to travel, on behalf of the national authorities.

The first country to apply this requirement is Spain and therefore airlines must collect this API from all passengers travelling from non-Schengen countries (this affects easyJet passengers from UK, Switzerland and Morocco), to Spain, including Spanish nationals returning home.

So if you are travelling to / from Spain, please go to the relevant booking in My easyJet.com and add the document details for each passenger on the booking in the “Advance Passenger Information” box.

This information must be provided for all passengers on each booking, including children and infants.

Failure to do this means you will not be allowed to take your flight.
