easyJet arrives in Manchester

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, arrives in Manchester this week, and to celebrate its arrival the airline will turn the city orange. There will be a huge advertising campaign and an interactive orange fun bus, which will tour the city and give Mancunians the chance to win easyJet prizes, including flights and holidays to fabulous summer sun destinations from their local airport.

The orange fun bus will operate across the city centre throughout the day, stopping at key sights, including Piccadilly Gardens, Corporation Street, Deansgate, Oxford Street and Church Street.

The new routes from Manchester include some of the most popular holiday hotspots for Brits, including Heraklion, Malaga, Malta, Paphos, and Tenerife. The airline expects to carry over half a million passengers from Manchester in the next 12 months and is committed to further growth in the region in the near future.

The new six routes are:

Manchester - Heraklion
Manchester - Malta
Manchester - Malaga
Manchester - Paphos
Manchester - Tenerife
Manchester- Innsbruck

David Osborne, easyJet UK General Manager, commented:
