easyJet completes GB integration

2nd April 2008 Print
easyJet has successfully completed the operational integration of GB Airways, with the enlarged airline being first major in Europe to operate under the new European operating certificates.

Overnight from Saturday 29 March to Sunday 30 March, all 15 of the GB Airways aircraft were successfully transitioned onto easyJet’s new EU-Ops Air Operators Certificate – a process that, on the night, involved more than 100 people at Gatwick and Manchester airports in removing all British Airways branding and flight operating materials from the aircraft and replacing them with those of easyJet.

The 157 aircraft in the newly-enlarged easyJet fleet have been operating smoothly under a single set of flight procedures since early Sunday morning.
