The Granville at Barford to host charity Abba party

'The Granville @ Barford' will be celebrating New Years Eve with a special 70s evening Abba party which will also raise money for charity. Money from each ticket sold will be donated to 'Lupus', the charity for people with the incurable immune system illness.

Over 5 million people worldwide have Lupus of which 50,000 people have the disease in the UK. 90% of sufferers are female; however, men and young children can also be affected. In some cases, Lupus is fatal. The Granville has raised over £3,300 for the charity todate through fundraising events.

The party, which starts at 7pm and ends at 1am, is ticket only. Tickets cost £20 per person or £35 per person with food. Live music will be provided by one of the UK’s leading Abba tribute bands “Bjorn to be Abba”. The band consists of four experienced performers who have toured in world class tribute shows and productions around the world. Guests are encouraged to dress up in 70s style costumes with prizes for the best dressed Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Anni-Frid.

For those suffering from the excesses of the party, The Granville will be offering an all day brunch menu with a glass of champagne from 12 noon to 4.30 pm on New Years Day. The perfect cure for hangovers!

We’re thrilled that Bjorn to be Abba are to play and hope to see plenty of dancing queens on the dance floor! Guests will also be supporting a very worthwhile charity and we hope to raise as much money as possible on the night.”

The Granville @ Barford is situated 1 mile from the M40 at junction 15 on the A429 sign-posted to Stow-on-the-Wold.
