easyJet announces Gatwick expansion

14th January 2010 Print

easyJet  has announced its intention to add three additional aircraft into London Gatwick from summer 2010. This will increase the airline's Gatwick based fleet to 43 aircraft.

This development comes in the wake of recently announced reductions in Gatwick operations by airlines such as Danish airline Cimber and Aer Lingus.

Commenting on the announcement, Paul Simmons easyJet's Regional General Manager for the UK, said: "We are proud to have developed our business at Gatwick over the last few years. We offer a quality network with a wide variety of choice at unbeatable prices. As a result of this additional capacity, we plan to announce some great new routes from Gatwick for this summer within the next few weeks."
