Fiskars may well be one of the oldest established companies in the world today with an astonishing 360 years of trading already under its belt but there’s nothing remotely old-fashioned about its new Green scissors for 2010.

Right on the money is a new range of Recycled Scissors that embody the most important eco-awareness message of the next decade. The Fiskars Green scissors come with comfortable handles made from plastic that is 50% recycled and whose packaging is wholly recyclable. There are 2 different scissors products in this new Fiskars Green range, the Student size, £5.49 and the Kids scissors suitable for age 4 and upwards, with their comfortably shaped handles that children find easy to use, price £3.49. These Fiskars Green scissors come in 3 different colours of red, green and blue, with packaging graphics that clearly identify the recyclable message.

Also new are the Buro Recycled scissors, still continuing the ‘green’ message but with handles that are made from 100% recycled plastic, again with wholly recyclable packaging. These come in 2 sizes of 18 cm, price £6.49 and 21 cm blades, £7.49, specially adapted for paper cutting and better durability.

Fiskars may date back to the 17th Century but are clearly focused on 21st Century and beyond. Look out for these new recycled products in The Range, Lakeland, Hobbycraft and John Lewis stores from April 1st 2010 onwards.
